THE LOCAL COMMUNITY

  • In 2024 we introduced a monthly community newsletter, which is sent out to everyone in our address book in order to keep people informed of our plans. If you would like to join this list, please add your details here.

We are also keen to talk to resident associations in order to distribute information to local residents. If you run an association, please contact us on community@brockwell-live.com

  • We’ll once again be hosting a series of drop-in sessions for local residents to speak directly with our team about plans for the upcoming festival series. Two sessions ahead of the events, and a further session scheduled post-event to gather feedback.

Please check back for information regarding out post-event drop-in.

  • We are pleased to share our Community Impact Report for Brockwell Live 2025.

The 2025 edition of Brockwell Live generated significant discussion, as supporters and opposing voices consider how the event’s positive impact can best be balanced with its impact on the community and much-loved Brockwell Park.

The report overviews resident feedback, community programmes, sustainability and our stewardship of the park.

You can view the report here.

  • Brockwell Live is committed to supporting and promoting local businesses, while welcoming them into our festival community. If you’d like to be involved this year, there are a few ways to take part.

    1. Local Business Ballot

We’re pleased to invite local businesses to enter our Local Business Ballot for a chance to win tickets for one of Brockwell Live's events.

    2. Local Business Promotion

We’re delighted to announce that we can support local businesses through our local business map, highlighting local hotspots to those travelling to the area. This will promoted at points around the park.

Businesses are also able to register for the opportunity to be spotlighted by a specific festival in the series, gaining further exposure to one of the diverse audiences that attend. We recommend choosing the festival your business aligns with most.

    3. Directing Our Staff To You

We have previously worked in partnership with businesses keen to gain exposure with staff working at Brockwell Live for the duration of the event series. Businesses have benefited from staff footfall through offers, discounts or perks that we’re happy to share with our festival crew. While entirely optional, these perks are always greatly appreciated by our team - please email us to get involved!

  • We are excited to be working with some incredible charity partners at Brockwell Live, and are proud to support organisations who do impactful work in our community as well as internationally.

    Médecins Sans Frontières

Brockwell Live are proud to partner with Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF), an independent charitable organisation providing vital medical humanitarian aid to people affected by conflict, epidemics, disasters, and exclusion from healthcare. Their work saves lives and eases the suffering of those in crisis situations across the world.

    ACLT

City Splash is proud to partner with ACLT (African Caribbean Leukaemia Trust), a leading UK charity dedicated to supporting patient donor appeals to help to find an unrelated bone marrow donor. As a leading Blood cancer/disorder charity, ACLT is dedicated to raising awareness of the severe shortage of donors of Black heritage in the United Kingdom on the stem cell (bone marrow), blood, and organ donor registers.

    Gig Buddies

At Brockwell Live, we’re proud to partner with Gig Buddies, an incredible initiative that helps people with learning disabilities and/or autism experience the joy of live music alongside a volunteer who shares their passion.

In 2025, we collaborated across three festivals - Wide Awake, Cross The Tracks, and Mighty Hoopla - each with their own creative campaign. At the core of every effort is the aim to centre learning-disabled voices, celebrate representation, and make festivals more welcoming for all.

Wide Awake – Change the Scene
This campaign champions representation and visibility, focusing on opening up space for learning-disabled artists to shine in mainstream music settings. Performances by Club Soda bands and artists will play a key role in shifting perceptions and demonstrating the talent that often goes unseen. The atmosphere will be one of empowerment, energy, and pride.

Cross The Tracks – How to Be a Party Ally
This campaign calls on audiences to be active allies - to recognise accessibility as a collective responsibility and weave it into the social fabric of the event. It’s about awareness, empathy, and shared celebration.

Mighty Hoopla – Partying in Plain Sight
At Mighty Hoopla, we’re embracing joy and radical visibility. This campaign breaks away from the idea that accessibility lives in a corner - it lives everywhere. Club Soda DJs will host a takeover set on one of the stages, turning transitional moments into powerful opportunities for connection, dancing, and integration. It’s an invitation to include everyone, everywhere, all the time.

Club Soda Artists & Volunteer Involvement
Across all three festivals, performances by Club Soda’s DJs and bands will bring an undeniable energy to each site—placing learning-disabled artists front and centre. Gig Buddies will also be recruiting new volunteers, offering music lovers the chance to make a real difference by supporting someone to experience live music side by side.

    First Festivals, Lasting Impact
Many Gig Buddies will be attending their first-ever festivals this year. Through music, community, and thoughtful planning, we’re making sure it’s not just accessible - but unforgettable.

  • The importance of Brockwell Park to mental wellbeing of the local residents and wider community. We fully acknowledge that in any urban environment where space is at a premium, green space like Brockwell Park provides a welcome sanctuary, and for many plays a key part in their mental wellbeing. Although we feel that the event series is of net benefit to the local area, and we are trying hard to make that evermore the case, we feel a responsibility to make sure what is lost in access across the event series, is made up for in park improvements. Since 2023, we have invested in excess of £200k into the park itself. Whilst Lambeth Council funds park repairs, we have given funds towards enhancements, not limited to, but including the following:

    • Supply and installation of mesh fencing

    • Big City Butterfly Project: Butterfly habitat

    • Supply and installation of new BMX fencing

    • Hedgerow and Winter Maintenance Programme

    • Maintenance Programme to cover various areas of the park from June to March

    • Clocktower Restoration

    • Granite setts

    • Farmers gate for wildflower area
