COMMUNITY

Community is at the core of Brockwell Live, and we are proud to consistently contribute to local projects which benefit the wider community.

Through our Community Fund, we support enterprises that make a meaningful impact in Lambeth, our Ticket Ballots allow everyone to [add summary] we are also committed to supporting and promoting local businesses

  • Each year, we provide funding to a variety of local projects, from gardening schemes and youth sports to music education and wellbeing initiatives. Our goal is to empower local organisations, giving them the resources to thrive and enrich the lives of people across Brixton and beyond.

The Guest list donations all contribute to the Brockwell Live Community Fund, which supports a variety of local community projects in our neighbourhood. This is in addition to the park rent and PIL.

Applications for our Community Fund open after our shows each year. If you are part of a community project looking for funding, keep an eye out for the next round of applications.

Some of our successfully funded projects include…

The Brockwell Park Community Greenhouses, which focuses on the renovation and development of the wellbeing garden, a quiet and calm oasis that allows time spent amongst nature and away from the hustle and bustle of London.

Whippersnappers, a warm and friendly Elders Club in Brockwell Lido where people can make new friends, explore their creativity, and take part in group exercise.

Brockwell Live Community Partners, supporting the regeneration of Brockwell Park’s pond to create a thriving habitat for amphibians while providing a space for residents, wildlife, and schools to enjoy.

The St Matthew's Project, helping expand the Saturday Club which provides free football coaching and games for young boys, and offers a pathway into league teams, volunteering, and future opportunities.

  • Brockwell Live is committed to supporting and promoting local businesses, while welcoming them into our festival community. If you’d like to be involved this year, there are a few ways to take part.

    1. Local Business Ballot

We’re pleased to invite local businesses to enter our Local Business Ballot for a chance to win 4x tickets for one of Brockwell Live's events this summer.

    1. Local Business Promotion

We’re delighted to announce that we can support local businesses through our local business map, highlighting local hotspots to those travelling to the area. This will be hosted on the Woov app as well as at points around the park.

Businesses are also able to register for the opportunity to be spotlighted by a specific festival in the series, gaining further exposure to one of the diverse audiences that attend. We recommend choosing the festival your business aligns with most.

    1. Supporting Our Staff

Our hardworking festival staff keep everything running smoothly, and we love to give back to them with local perks. Local businesses can show their support by offering discounts or special perks for crew members during the shows. This is entirely optional but is always greatly appreciated by our team.

These opportunities are designed on an opt-in basis, so businesses can participate in a way that feels right for them. If you’re interested, [add CTA]

COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT

We understand that residents have different preferences when it comes to engagement. Based on community feedback, we have designed two meeting formats to ensure everyone has the opportunity to participate in a way that suits them best, while also ensuring we reach and involve as many people as possible…

  • Our Community Meetings provide a structured space for residents to discuss key topics with our team and representatives from Lambeth Council. These meetings include:

    • A presentation or update on relevant projects and issues.

    • A group Q&A session where residents can ask questions and share concerns.

    • An opportunity for collective discussions to address wider community matters.

These meetings are ideal for those who want to hear updates, participate in open discussions, and engage in a shared conversation with other residents.

  • Our Resident Drop-in Sessions offer a more informal setting for those who prefer to speak with our team on a one-to-one basis. This format includes:

    • The opportunity to sit down individually or with one other person to discuss specific topics, questions, or concerns.

    • Dedicated 10-minute slots allocated on arrival to ensure we can meet with as many residents as possible within each session.

    • Team member(s) available in the room for informal conversations, outside of the one-on-one slots.

We encourage residents to attend the format that best suits their needs, and we remain committed to open, transparent, and meaningful engagement with the community.
