Storytelling is the theme of the day at Brockwell Hall, with a full programme of live readings, imaginative adventures, interactive theatre, dance and playful performances for families and children of all ages.

Explore a cosy indoor programme of author events, draw-alongs and immersive story sessions alongside outdoor ceilidh dancing, street performances, games and courtyard takeovers. From Storytorium adventures to Silly Olympics and street dance maypoles, the day is packed with stories to hear, stories to join and stories to create together.

A day full of spectacle, silliness and surprise as Brockwell Hall transforms into a circus for the day. Explore a packed programme of clowning, juggling, interactive performances, roaming entertainment and hands-on workshops for families and children of all ages.

From playful circus takeovers and larger-than-life characters to high-energy moments with Ruckus Rave, expect plenty of chances to laugh, learn new skills and join the fun throughout the Hall and Courtyard.

Comics are taking over Brockwell Hall for a full day of drawing, storytelling, superheroes, skateboarding and larger than life characters. Expect comic making workshops, live illustration, cosplay, street football and creative activities popping up across the Hall and Courtyard, with plenty of chances to invent your own worlds, design new characters and jump into the action.

Whether you arrive dressed as a superhero, a villain or your own comic creation, get ready for a day packed with colour, creativity and playful chaos for the whole family.

    The Tale Spinner by Karrie Fransman

    Enter the world’s first 'Tale Spinner' - a 3D performed comic experience created by experimental comics artist 

    Karrie Fransman and described as “Un-AI-able”. Inspired by 18th century raree shows, peep shows, VR and AI, the immersive installation spins a story around your head exploring an unknown future.

    Enter Brockwell’s very own Micro Comic Con celebrating local comic, graphic novel and zine makers from across the scene.

  • KIDS TOGETHER is made for families, little ones, bigger kids and grown ups who still love to play. Some activities may include age guidance, which you can find in the programme.

  • Every corner of Brockwell Hall gets taken over for Kids Together, from cosy indoor storytelling spaces to circus fun, dancing and games out in the Courtyard.

  • Absolutely. Kids Together is designed for wandering, discovering and exploring at your own pace, with plenty of drop in activities happening throughout the day.

  • Yes, really. Every workshop, performance, activity and adventure across the week is completely free to attend.

  • Kids Together runs from 10.45 until 18.00 each day, with activities taking place throughout the day across different spaces and venues.

  • Yes please. Children must be supervised by a parent or guardian at all times so everyone can relax and enjoy together.

  • Yes. There will be refreshments available to purchase on site, perfect for keeping little adventurers fuelled up throughout the day.
